Suspect wanted in gas station robbery

RICHMOND, TX (KTRK) -- Authorities are investigating an aggravated robbery at a gas station in Fort Bend County.

Around 8:55pm Saturday, deputies with the Ft. Bend Co. Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Shell Gas Station at 3535 FM 762 in Richmond regarding an aggravated robbery.

Authorities say an unknown male entered the Shell station and headed for the restroom. Shortly thereafter, he exited the restroom and walked up to the cash register where two employees were located. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded the cash from the register.

With an undisclosed amount of cash in hand, the suspect fled the store and entered the passenger side of a white four-door passenger car. The vehicle was seen heading southbound on FM 762.

The suspect is described as a white or light-skinned Hispanic male with a beard and approximately 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts, a blue ball cap and white sneakers.
