Man sought after robbery report

WARRENSBURG — Authorities say they are looking for a man suspected of entering a Warrensburg home Saturday, threatening an occupant with a knife and taking prescription narcotics.

At about 12:45 p.m., Warren County sheriff's deputies got a report of a home invasion robbery on Library Avenue. It was reported that Cameron Joseph Belden, 22, forcibly entered the home of a person he knew, made the threat, and left with the narcotics.
Deputies said Belden took a cellphone to try to prevent the resident from calling police. The resident, who was uninjured, called police from a neighbor's home.

Deputies describe Belden as white, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 155 pounds with brown hair in a crewcut hairstyle and blue eyes. Belden has ties to the Warrensburg, Queensbury and Ticonderoga areas, deputies said.

Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact 743-2500.
